ILLUSTRATOR SAYS:

The aim of my project: to provide a comfort blanket for my soul and the soul of others.

Day 20 image:

  • I often resist bad times.

  • But most of my greatest growth and experiences have come from those bad times.

  • To the point that they’ve all been worthwhile.

  • ‘I wish it could be different than this’ soon or eventually becomes ‘thank God that happened'.

  • It’s not all a bed of roses.

  • But the flowers will burst with a little bit sunshine and water... and a little bit of manure.

Background to The 100 Day Project:

This is a project led by Lindsay Jean Thomson who is a writer and co-founder of Women Catalysts. In 2016, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, a bizarre yet life-affirming experience she chronicled for VICE.

I’d love to get your support and encouragement over the next few months if you’d like to comment and share.

Hope anything I create gives you a little bit of comfort for your soul.
