Day 9 image:
Lockdown has kept so many people apart. But this third lockdown has been different for me. I’ve begun connecting with the people in my life in new and wonderful ways.
Today I received a card and box of gifts from a special friend who wanted to send me some love for valentines day that I would otherwise be spending on my own. Kindness is just the most wonderful thing. I’ll be opening them tomorrow to make my day sparkle.
We’ve read poetry
We’ve giggled about my home hair cuts
We’ve danced on Zoom
We’ve sent flowers to one another
We’ve shared books, hopes and fears
We’ve done online courses together
Thank you dear people that have felt so far and yet so near.
Background to The 100 Day Project:
This is a project led by Lindsay Jean Thomson who is a writer and co-founder of Women Catalysts. In 2016, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, a bizarre yet life-affirming experience she chronicled for VICE.
I’d love to get your support and encouragement over the next few months if you’d like to comment and share.
Hope anything I create gives you a little bit of comfort for your soul.
