ILLUSTRATOR SAYS:

The aim of my project: to provide a comfort blanket for my soul and the soul of others.

Day 14 image:

  • Society celebrates ‘doer-ship’.

  • Last year for me was all about not doing in many ways.

  • There’s no shame in rest. Being. Taking a large gulp of air.

  • And watching ants crawl. With a cuppa.

  • It’s relaxing, restful, mindful and makes space for creativity.

  • This year I’ll be a watching ants crawl again and listening to the breeze sprinkle through the bamboo.

Background to The 100 Day Project:

This is a project led by Lindsay Jean Thomson who is a writer and co-founder of Women Catalysts. In 2016, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, a bizarre yet life-affirming experience she chronicled for VICE.
