The aim of my project: to provide a comfort blanket for my soul and the soul of others.

We’ve all had a go, haven’t we?

  • Phase One: ‘Oh my god I’m cutting my own fringe’

  • Phase Two: ‘I’ve butchered someone else’s hair’

  • Phase Three: ‘Given myself a bit of a trim’

  • Phase Four: ‘Machete and full hair colour change’.

  • Phase Five: ‘My friends spat out their tea when they saw my hair’

  • Phase Six: ‘Put the scissors down and wait for the professionals to take back control’.

Background to The 100 Day Project:

This is a project led by Lindsay Jean Thomson who is a writer and co-founder of Women Catalysts. In 2016, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, a bizarre yet life-affirming experience she chronicled for VICE.
