ARTIST SAYS:

I often draw inspiration from nature to help me when I'm struggling. Lately I've felt impatient. I've felt like I had a dream for many years and it's taken so long to happen. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever get there. Wherever 'there' is. I start doubting myself. I judge that I'm taking too long. I get caught up in the complexities of life. And then I take a walk in the woods. And stare at the wonder surrounding me. And ask the trees to give me an answer. And then I realise that they took many years to grow. That they shed their leaves every year and start anew, each year growing little by little. And that's me. Like the French proverb 'Petit à petit, l'oiseau fait son nid' - little by little the bird makes its nest. Time to slow down, breath and believe I will get there all in good time.
